In the Recently released the Notice from the Ministry of Education on the Publication of the Record and Approval Results of Undergraduate Programs of Regular Higher Education Institutions in 2023, three new specialties of Huzhou University got approved, including Artificial Intelligence, Intelligent Manufacturing Engineering, and Materials Science and Engineering.

　　Following the National Standard for Assessing the Quality of Teaching in Undergraduate Programs Offered by Regular Higher Education Institutions, Huzhou University will stress the characteristics of talent training of each newly obtained specialty, timely revise talent training plans and diligently build these speciality programs while ensuring their general quality. The university will implement enrollment and basic construction of these three new specialties in time, and invest more efforts in terms of policies, conditions and funds, with the purpose to ensure the quality of talent training.

　　In recent years, Huzhou University has taken the initiative to promote the dynamic adjustment of its specialties in an orderly manner and optimize the planning of undergraduate specialties by connecting with key industries, introducing new specialties, transforming traditional specialties, focusing on the building of specialty programs with edges, and canceling specialties that no longer adapt to regional economic and social development. With national and provincial first-class specialties as the priority, the university will strengthen the connotative building of each specialty, focus on their characteristics, and promote innovative modes of talent training. In so doing, it aims to lay out the specialties with moderate scales, highlighted focuses, applied features and  a coordination between basic and applied sciences so as to positively  interact with local economic and social development, and ultimately provide greater support for regional high-quality development.
