On June 20, the establishment ceremony of the Bangladesh Alumni Association of Huzhou University was smoothly held. Xu Huixia （President）， Chen Yonghua （Deputy Secretary of the University Party Committee）， Lou Jianlin （Vice President）， Zhu Hong （Former Secretary of the University Discipline Inspection Committee and Vice President of the Alumni Association）， the University Alumni Relations Office, the head of the International School, teacher representatives and 30 student representatives attended the ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Chen Yonghua.

　　On behalf of Huzhou University, Xu Huixia extended a warm welcome to all the attending alumni. She pointed out that the Chinese and Bangladeshi have enjoyed a profound friendship which could be dated back to over a thousand years. In recent years, China-Bangladesh relations have developed rapidly. Fruitful achievements have been made in promoting high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative （BRI） and cooperation in various fields. Bangladesh provides the largest number of international students enrolled in our university across Asia, and there have been nearly 200 graduates so far. The establishment of the Bangladesh Alumni Association represents a new chapter with respect to international alumni relations. She also hoped that the Bangladesh Alumni Association would serve as a bridge to further strengthen the ties between the alumni and the university, enhance friendship and cooperation between China and Bangladesh, jointly contribute to the BRI and ultimately make positive contributions to China-Bangladesh relations as neighbors and friends.

　　At the ceremony, Lou Jianlin introduced the preparation work of the Bangladesh Alumni Association and announced the institutional structure and proposed list of functional personnel. The attending alumni reached unanimous agreement on AHAMED MOSTAK as President, AHSAN MD SHAMIM and HUQ SABA FARIAH as Vice presidents, NOMAN ABDULLAH as General Secretary, and HASAN SAKIB AL and ROY UTTAM KUMAR as Deputy General Secretaries. Xu Huixia presented the flag to the Association and Zhu Hong presented letters of appointment to members of the Association.

　　AHAMED MOSTAK said that alumni boast deep emotional ties with their Alma mater as they are an important part of a university and it is a great honor to serve as the president of the Bangladesh Alumni Association. He would shoulder his mission and lead the Bangladeshi alumni towards a better Association with united efforts. He hoped that the Bangladesh Alumni Association will become a great example for other international alumni associations of Huzhou University.

　　The attending Bangladeshi alumni shared their unforgettable experience in the university, expressed their deep love for this university, and performed songs with national characteristics.
