On May 19, Zhang Shuhua, director, researcher and doctoral supervisor of Institute of Political Science of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and dean of School of Government Management, University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, visited the university. Jin Peihua, Secretary of Party Committee of the university, met with him. Vice-president Lou Jianlin accompanied him during the inspection. Heads of the Foreign Affairs Office and International School, and experts from the Cross-Cultural Research Center attended the symposium. 

At the symposium, Lou Jianlin extended a warm welcome to Zhang Shuhua and his delegation and introduced the development of the university from the aspects of history, scale, school-running characteristics, personnel training, international cooperation and cross-cultural research. Zhang Shuhua said that he has always been very concerned about the development and achievements of Huzhou University and hopes to strengthen cooperation with this University in regional and country studies, in “telling China’s stories well”, and in practicing the “Global Civilization Initiative” so as to further build an “inclusive, diverse and enterprising” cross-cultural research center and help build a high-level “Huzhou Normal University”. The participating experts had in-depth exchanges on topics such as the development of intercultural research centers and held academic seminars.

Zhang Shuhua also visited the exhibition hall of this university that exhibits the practice of the “two mountains”concept.
