On April 6, the well-known third-party university evaluation agency — iresearch Alumni Association network officially announced the 2023 China University ranking list. Huzhou University ranks 225th, 21 places higher than the previous year. It also ranks 34th among the normal universities in the country (and the only “college” in the top 34), which is a new high.  

It is known that the China University ranking of the iresearch Alumni Association was initiated in 2003 and has now a history of 21 years. It has become a leading Chinese university ranking brand with wide social influence, credibility, reference value and innovation force. The evaluation index system of 2023 Alumni Association China University Ranking is composed of 12 first-level indicators, including school-running level, ideological and political education, teaching quality, outstanding alumni, high-level talents, disciplines and specialties, scientific research projects, scientific research bases, scientific research achievements, social services, social reputation and international influence, supported by “University 360-degree Panoramic Data Platform” of iResearch. It covers more than 700 core evaluation indicators that reflect the quality and level of Chinese universities.

In the other university rankings published in 2023, this university ranks 222nd in the latest ESI University Rankings by Clarivate and 226th in the Ranking of Chinese Universities in Soft Subjects. The continuous rise of this university in the rankings of third-parties reflects its improvement in connotation construction and demonstrates a good momentum of development, gathering the great strength of the whole university, and laying a solid foundation for the creation of a high-level normal university.
