Recently, the aerobics (Group A and Group C) competition of the 16th Universiade of Zhejiang Province was held in Ningbo University. Headed by coaches Tang Peng and Zhao Yiyue, the aerobics team of our university won three gold medals and one bronze medal with superb skills, which is the best result since Huzhou University participated in this competition. Huzhou University also won the “Sportsmanship Award” and other honorary titles.

Huzhou University participated in five events, including women’s single exercise (Group C), mixed 3-person exercise, 5-person aerobic dance, 5-person pedal exercise and 5-person street dance (Group A). Wang Shifang won the first place of women’s single aerobics; Wang Shifang, Zhu Wenting and Wang Wei won the first place of mixed 3-person exercise; Yang Chubang, Luo Xingyu, Wang Shifang, Zhu Wenting and Wang Wei won the first place of aerobic dance for 5 people; Chen Yuqiao, Hu Jingjie, Zhu Danyang, Cai Yongde and Ding Jianan won the third place of 5-person pedal exercise.

Before the competition, under the guidance of the two coaches, the members of the aerobics team actively prepared for the game with the training concept of “unity, efforts, hard work, persistence and tenacity”. They successfully overcame the pressure during the game, remained calm and achieved excellent results, adhering to the motto of this university: “Ming Ti Da Yong” (which generally means to “Master the righteous and become men of use”). A good team culture spirit has been cultivated under the leadership of the coaches Tang Peng and Zhao Yiyue.

It is reported that the competition is hosted by Zhejiang Provincial Education Department and Zhejiang Provincial Sports Bureau, undertaken by the Physical Education School of Ningbo University and co-organized by the University Aerobics Branch of Zhejiang School Sports Association. More than 600 athletes from a total of 54 colleges and universities participated in it.
