Huzhou University Awarded Key Project in the National Social Science Fund Later-Stage Funding Program

Professor Xiao Jumei from School of Education (School of Teacher Education) , Huzhou University, successfully applied for a key project titled A Study on the Scientization of Teaching Theory in Modern China, marking Huzhou University's first breakthrough in this category of national-level projects. In the meantime, Associate Professor Huang Heping from the School of Physical Education received approval for a general project titled The Transformation of Hakka Sports and Its Cultural Anthropological Investigation.
The National Social Science Fund Later-Stage Funding Program primarily supports outstanding academic achievements in the field of philosophy and social sciences that are near completion but not yet published. Key projects under this program are expected to demonstrate substantial academic depth, strong innovation and significant potential to advance the development of the discipline. Aimed to provide valuable insights for constructing a teaching theory system with Chinese characteristics, Professor Xiao Jumei's project focuses on the scientization process of teaching theory in modern China, systematically reviewing historical developments and introducing theoretical innovations. The approval of this project holds great significance for enhancing the academic influence of HU in the field of humanities and social sciences and for promoting academic innovation.
Over the past few years, Huzhou University has leveraged its advantageous and distinctive disciplines, strengthened collaboration between the university and its schools, and invited renowned experts to conduct project application evaluations and academic seminars. These efforts have helped improve the quality of project applications and propelled the university's research endeavors to new heights. Since 2023, HU has consecutively been awarded National Social Science Fund key projects for three years. Moving forward, HU will further enhance process management and project closure management for ongoing projects, striving to ensure that approved projects yield high-quality academic outcomes and lay a solid foundation for future high-level research awards.
