On December 31, the Ministry of Education released the latest list of approved Sino-foreign cooperative education programs. The undergraduate chemistry program jointly established by Huzhou University and Silesian University of Technology (Poland) has been officially approved. This project represents an important achievement of Huzhou University in actively responding to China’s strategy of opening education to the outside world and deepening educational cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative, marking a key step forward in the university’s international talent cultivation and disciplinary development.

　　Building on the solid foundation of Huzhou University’s chemistry discipline, the program introduces the high-quality curriculum system, teaching resources, and faculty strengths of the Industrial and Engineering Chemistry program at Silesian University of Technology. The program aims to cultivate high-level, application-oriented professionals with an international perspective and strong intercultural communication skills, capable of meeting the development needs of China’s chemical industry and related fields. The program has a four-year duration, is scheduled to enroll its first cohort in September 2026, adopts a “3+1” training model, and is included in the national regular higher education enrollment plan.

　　Silesian University of Technology is one of Poland’s leading universities of science and technology. Its chemistry programs enjoy a strong reputation in Europe, with curricula aligned with EU engineering education standards and notable strengths in teaching and research in areas such as nanomaterials, green chemical technologies, and process engineering optimization. The university emphasizes the integration of theory and practice, and its graduates are highly competitive in the chemical, new materials, and related industries across the EU and globally.
