Huzhou University Wins First and Second Prizes at the 2024 CGCC Science and Technology Awards
[作者]: [来源]:Office of Science and Technology [时间]:2025-09-30 15:41:09 [阅读次数]:10Recently, the 2025 National Commercial Science, Technology and Quality Conference, hosted by the China General Chamber of Commerce (CGCC), was held in Beijing. At the conference, the Decision on the 2024 CGCC Science and Technology Awards was announced and an awards ceremony was held. In this year’s selection, two achievements led by Huzhou University won the First Prize and the Second Prize of the CGCC Science and Technology Progress Award.

The project “Key Technologies for Efficient and Reliable Intelligent Control of Coating Robots and Industrial Applications,” led by Professor Lou Jungang from the School of Information Engineering, received the First Prize. Jointly developed with Zhejiang University of Technology, Zhejiang Mingquan Industrial Coating Co., Ltd., and Zhejiang Deqing Fuyuan Intelligent Equipment Technology Co., Ltd., the team’s decade-long effort developed an advanced active identification and positioning system for coating components, devised novel strategies for intelligent robot control and path optimization, and proposed a real-time multi-level fusion acceleration mechanism for multi-source data—achieving major breakthroughs in: (1) active, rapid, and accurate perception in variable industrial environments; (2) autonomous, programmable, collaborative management of robots; and (3) a highly reliable online multi-level self-inspection and self-correction system.

The project “Technological Innovation and Application of Resource-Recycling Treatment for Petrochemical Organic Solid Waste,” led by Professor Wu Shengji from the School of Engineering, won the Second Prize. In collaboration with Zhejiang EKO Environmental Technology Co., Ltd., Tianjin University, and Hangzhou Dianzi University, the team completed nine years of R&D, promotion, and application. They proposed new methods for efficiently controlling pyrolysis-related secondary pollutants, developed high-efficiency pyrolysis technology for petrochemical organic solid waste, and created a series of pyrolysis engineering equipment. The technology has been included in the National Catalogue of Key Practical Environmental Protection Technologies and the Directory of Advanced Technology and Equipment for Soil Pollution Prevention and Control. It has been applied in 126 projects, treating over 11 million metric tons of organic solid waste and oil-contaminated soil in the past five years, and reducing CO? emissions by more than 800,000 metric tons. Over the last three years, it generated RMB 506 million in indirect benefits through energy conservation and emission reduction, while value-added redevelopment of remediated land produced indirect benefits exceeding RMB 1 billion.

The CGCC Science and Technology Award, approved by China’s Ministry of Science and Technology and the Office of National Science and Technology Awards, is highly authoritative within the industry and qualifies awardees for nomination to the National Science and Technology Awards. In 2024, the awards recognized 2 recipients of the Scientific Achievement Award and 624 projects under the Science and Technology Progress Award (including 31 Special Prizes, 178 First Prizes, 206 Second Prizes, and 209 Third Prizes), along with 39 individuals recognized as Technological Innovation Figures.In recent years, Huzhou University has continuously deepened organized scientific research, leveraged existing innovation platforms, and prioritized high-quality outputs. The university has strengthened the cultivation of major research projects and the commercialization of research outcomes, effectively stimulating researchers’ innovation vitality and steadily enhancing Huzhou University’s overall research and innovation capacity. Looking ahead, the university will continue to pursue major breakthroughs, identify and nurture award-caliber achievements, and accelerate the transformation of scientific and technological outcomes into tangible productivity, contributing to the high-quality development of the regional economy and society.
