Recently, China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) published the list of highly cited scholars for 2024. A total of 46 scholars from Huzhou University were included in the “2024 China CNKI Highly Cited Scholars” ranking. Among them, 14 scholars were ranked on the “2024 China CNKI Highly Cited Scholars TOP 1%” list, while 32 were on the list of TOP 5% .

　　China Science and Research Evaluation Center of CNKI conducted the first objective evaluation of academic influence of scholars in 2024, based on academic journal and conference papers indexed by CNKI. The evaluation helped to promote the domestic release of outstanding achievements.

　　It is reported that the initial selection criteria for the “2024 China CNKI Highly Cited Scholars” were based on the following: scholars who have published at least one paper in the past ten years (2014-2023) with a Paper Citation Standardized Index (PCSI) higher than the theoretical average value (1.65). Approximately 3.35 million authors nationwide entered the preliminary selection. The evaluation metric used is the total PCSI of the author, which is the weighted sum of the PCSI for papers exceeding the theoretical average value (1.65). The weights are related to the number of co-authors and the order of author names. The “2024 China CNKI Highly Cited Scholars” PCSI TOP 1% includes 30,000 scholars (with a baseline value of 31.016), while the PCSI TOP 5% includes 89,000 scholars (with a baseline value of 10.297).
