From November 22nd to 24th, Huzhou University hosted the 2nd International Academic Symposium on Cross-cultural Education in the Context of Globalization. This conference was hosted by the Cross-cultural Research Center of Huzhou university and co-organized by the Confucius Institute at Azerbaijan University of Languages in a combination of online and offline methods. More than 70 experts and scholars from celebrated universities at home and abroad and scientific research institutions such as Azerbaijan University of Languages, Brest State University of Belarus, Gomel State University of Belarus, Moscow State University of Management, Dalian University of Technology, and Tongren University in Guizhou were invited. Representatives from Huzhou University’s faculties, research institutions, and secondary colleges and schools also participated in.

　　The first stage of the symposium featured an academic keynote session on cross-cultural education. Five experts and scholars from the Confucius Institute at Azerbaijan University of Languages, Dalian University of Technology, Brest State University of Belarus, and Huzhou University gave keynote speeches on topics such as the perspective of traditional Chinese educational philosophy, research on new Chinese words reflecting social and cultural dynamics from a cross-cultural perspective, the footprint of Azerbaijan in global Chinese studies, and research on the continuity of the development of cross-cultural education in the Republic of Belarus.

　　Following the keynote session were workshops led by domestic and international experts. Dr. Pirozhenko Lidia Vladimirovna from Huzhou University’s Cross-cultural Research Center chaired the seminar. The participating experts and scholars exchanged ideas on topics such as “Research on the Restrictions and Influences of Culture on Education”, “Viewing Sino-Russian Relations from the Media Perspective”, “Teaching Practice of Literary Classics and Cross-cultural Communication” and “Effective Means of Cultivating Cross-cultural Communication Ability in Foreign Language Teaching”, and then carried out in-depth and practical academic discussions.

　　The International Academic Symposium on Cross-cultural Education in the Context of Globalization is an international conference approved by the People’s Government of Zhejiang Province and organized by Huzhou University’s Cross-cultural Research Center. Held successfully for the second time, the symposium aims to promote cultural exchange and integration while contributing to the advancement of human civilization.
