Recently, a delegation from Huzhou City, led by mayor Hong Hupeng, visited the National Polytechnic Institute of Mexico and the Chinese Library in Mexico. This visit was initiated by Academician Dong Shihai, a director of the Quantum Physics Research Center of Huzhou University and member of the Mexican Academy of Sciences. During the visit, a cooperation agreement was signed between Huzhou University and the National Polytechnic Institute of Mexico.

　　Founded in 1936, the National Polytechnic Institute of Mexico (Instituto Politécnico Nacional, IPN) is a prestigious global higher education institution. The school has 81 branch campuses, 78 undergraduate majors and 128 postgraduate majors, offers more than 270 courses, and has 20 research centers, 19 foreign language training centers (the languages offered include Chinese education, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, etc.) and 12 continuing education and distance learning centers. It has been outstanding in such fields as biotechnology, medicine, physics, computer science, and mathematics.

　　Huzhou University has been committed to building a talent highland with international competitiveness and a source of scientific and technological innovation. Through the signing of the agreement, both sides will draw on successful domestic and foreign education cooperation models, combine their actual situations and advantageous resources, and formulate practical cooperation plans. According to the agreement, both sides will carry out all-round and multi-level cooperation in aspects including talent cultivation, academic exchanges and scientific research cooperation.

　　During the exchange symposium, the Huzhou delegation and the Mexican representatives had in-depth exchanges on further deepening cooperation and reached important consensus in aspects such as talent introduction. Hong Hupeng presented the appointment letter of “Talent Introduction Partner” of Huzhou to Professor Sun Guohua of the Mexican side.

　　Deepening the cooperation between Huzhou and Mexico in the fields of education, science and technology, and talent exchanges, this visit also injected new vitality into the high-quality development of Huzhou University. Huzhou University will take the opportunity to further deepen exchanges and cooperation, broaden talent introduction channels, expand the international cooperation network, and provide strong talent support for the high-quality development of the school.
