Zhang Liqin, the principal of Huzhou University, was invented to the Work Forum of 2016 Zhejiang Confucius Institute. Xia Jianhui, Deputy Director and the Deputy Director-General of the NOCFL/Confucius Institute Headquarter, Yu Yongming, the Deputy Director-General of the Provincial Department of Education and other important leaders presented the forum. Zhang Liqin gave a report titled “Following the National Strategy, Revealing Zhejiang Demeanour and Comprehensively Establish Innovative Confucius Institute” at the forum and in the report, Principal Zhang introduced the school characteristics and related construction situation of our Confucius Institute. Our Confucius Institute closely links to national strategy “One Belt and One Road” with clear development positioning and effective measures. The new situation and results  won good praises from the participating leaders.

    The Co-construction Confucius Institute by Huzhou University and Azerbaijan University Of Languages was officially founded on the 24th June. All the work is well on track with the care and support of the NOCFL/Confucius Institute Headquarter and Zhejiang Province Education Department and the joint efforts of both sides at home and abroad. As a result of construction in the past 6 months,  the developing pattern has been formed which is led by the national strategy “One Belt and One Road”with Chinese education, Chinese Culture Promotion and integrated platform construction.

    At present, our Confucius Institute has offered the credit courses such as Chinese Culture, Comprehensive Chinese Studies in Azerbaijan University Of Languages. Meanwhile, the cooperation agreement with Oriental-ism Institute of Azerbaijan Academy Sciences has been signed and according to the agreement, 6 different degrees Chinese Teaching Classes for children, senior school students and university students has been set. Also, 4 teaching points: Azerbaijan State Oil Academy, Azerbaijan Dancing College and Azerbaijan Senior School will be set up and the registered students will be estimated more than 200. The reflection of Chinese teaching quality is good.

    In the aspect of Chinese culture promotion, Confucius Institute fully exploited the cultural needs and cultural features of Azerbaijan local people and successfully held more than 10 culture activities with clear theme, various forms and rich contents, such as the Silk Road Culture and Arts Evening, Academic workshops of Azerbaijan Sericulture and Silk Road, Seminar of One Belt and One Road, workshop of The Silk Road of Chinese Music Culture History and so on. These activities invited many political and cultural celebrities and attracted more than 1000 local teachers and students to join in which promote the two-way cultural communication between the two countries. Some well-known news media gave a special report about the cooperation and these activities.
